Internet Explorer
(Use of the Chartoasis Sesame application is somewhat troublesome with Internet Explorer. If possible, use Firefox or Google Chrome browsers instead)
Displaying the Menu bar
To access the “Tools” menu (required for settings), the Menu bar needs to be displayed. If the Menu bar is hidden:
- In IE7-IE8-IE9 the Menu bar can be displayed temporarily by pressing the Alt button on the keyboard.
- To permanently display the Menu bar:
- In IE7 click the “Tools“ button (not the “Tools” menu!), and select “Menu bar” from the drop-down menu.
- In IE8 click the “Tools“ button (not the “Tools” menu!), and select “Menu bar” under Toolbars.
Enabling Javascript
- From the “Tools” menu select “Internet Options”.
- In the displayed window click on the “Security” tab.
- Click on the “Custom level” button.
- Find “Scripting” in the displayed list and set the “Active Scripting” radio button to “Enabled”.
- If the problem persists, restart the browser.
Firefox
- From the “ Tools” menu select “Options“
- In the displayed window click on the “Content” tab.
- Check the check-box next to “Enable JavaScript“.
Google Chrome
In Google Chrome, JavaScript is enabled by default.
JavaScript can only be disabled from the command line by running the “chrome.exe -disable-javascript” parameter.
The opposite command is “chrome.exe -enable-javascript”, which enables JavaScript support (in case of program error).
This requires modification of the Google Chrome shortcut by adding the “-enable-javascript” parameter to the shortcut.
